    # Destination Thailand Visa (DTV): 2026 Official-Source Guide

The **Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)** remains a Thai long-stay visa route for eligible workcation applicants, participants in specified Thai soft-power activities, and eligible spouses/dependent children.

    ## Core framework
Official Ministry of Foreign Affairs materials describe the DTV as:
    - **Multiple entry**
    - Visa validity of **5 years**
    - A permitted stay of **up to 180 days per entry**
    - A possible extension through the Immigration Bureau under the applicable rules

    ## Financial evidence
Official DTV materials state financial evidence of **not less than 500,000 THB**. The exact documentary format can vary by embassy/consulate and applicant location, so use the checklist of the mission handling the application.

    ## Purpose evidence
For a workcation case, evidence may include employment documents or a professional portfolio demonstrating digital-nomad, remote-worker, foreign-talent or freelancer status. Soft-power and medical routes require evidence tied to the relevant activity or appointment. Dependants need relationship evidence.

    ## Visa fee
Do not assume the payable fee is literally 10,000 THB everywhere. Thai missions collect visa fees in the local currency/fee schedule applicable to that mission. Check the e-Visa portal or the responsible Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate before payment.
